Verify contact, not identity.
A future SMS code flow would need secure one-time codes, expiry, rate and retry limits, delivery recovery and an alternative contact method. Phone possession alone does not verify patient identity.

See how an appointment inquiry could move through administrative checks, with staff review when needed.
Appointment administration only. This demo cannot diagnose, recommend treatment or assess clinical urgency. Urgent medical concerns require clinic staff or appropriate emergency assistance.
From inquiry to an appropriate next step
Missed calls, after-hours inquiries, repetitive intake and contact mistakes can add work for the front desk. A configured administrative workflow can prepare information for staff review.
These are intended workflow stages, not measured patient outcomes or an activated healthcare service.
One does not establish the others or guarantee coverage. If confirmation is unavailable: Insurance information requires staff verification.
Production requirements
A future SMS code flow would need secure one-time codes, expiry, rate and retry limits, delivery recovery and an alternative contact method. Phone possession alone does not verify patient identity.
Doctor, appointment type, visit duration, office hours and patient preferences must be checked against authorized availability. An actual appointment is confirmed only when the provider returns a successful booking identifier.
Confirmation and reminder channels need privacy review and patient communication preferences. Avoid unnecessary clinical or insurance details in ordinary SMS and email. Reminders cannot guarantee attendance.
Real patient workflows remain disabled. Contracts and applicable BAAs, vendor eligibility, access controls, audit logs, retention, recording consent, incident handling and provider integrations need review and approval. This example makes no HIPAA compliance claim.
Human oversight
The receptionist is an AI administrative assistant, not a medical professional. It must not diagnose, recommend treatment or medication, or make clinical urgency decisions without approved medical protocols.
Urgent concerns require an agreed handoff to clinic staff or appropriate emergency assistance. Clinical escalation and exception handling must be approved by the clinic.
Healthcare security, vendor agreements, scheduling and insurance integrations affect the scope. The HVAC pilot price is not a healthcare price.
